About Us

Gulgun Yanbi, Walking a Different Path, is a project to assist 50 unemployed indigenous jobseekers to transition from unemployment to employment. The project has a three pronged strategy that combines Accredited Training, Work Experience and Job Preparation support in a placed based tailored strategy taking into account the participants aspirations and abilities.
A key factor to the success of this project will be the intensive mentoring provided by the staff. Mentoring will cover all individual aspects of the program with additional overarching mentoring to assist with personal development, cultural issues, relationships and any other matters that are contributing factors to the participants current unemployment.
Field of Dreams. Civic Solutions has employed nine full-time trainees for 12 months to support the vision for the development of the local sporting fields as a multi purpose, environmentally friendly facility for the people of Beaudesert.  These traineeships commenced in June 2011.
The site is on the  traditional lands of the Mununjali people and the name ‘Field of Dreams’  embodies the  spirit & goodwill left behind by the traditional owners and  is based on indigenous meanings for this Land.   Sporting clubs dream of having facilities that are environmentally friendly and allow their members and communities to participate in healthy recreational activities and to achieve success in their endeavours.  “Field of Dreams” incorporates all of these dreams in a spirit of cooperation across the Beaudesert community.
Security IEP.  This project is a partnership between Civic Solutions and Training Solutions 4U to assist Indigenous people to gain a selection of core qualifications and licences that will open up employment opportunities. These qualifications, along with Job Preparation support and mentoring, will give graduates the skills, knowledge and confidence to successfully seek and commence employment in the security, hospitality or construction industries.
The training is being delivered in two intakes of 13 weeks duration at Eagleby.
