Lifeline - Brisbane - Telephone Counselling Training

Lifeline Brisbane conducts a fee based training program for people who wish to volunteer as Crisis Counsellors with the 24 hour Crisis Telephone Counselling Service. A 9 week (full day) or 14 week (evenings) training programme is run inhouse to train volunteers to man our 24 hr crisis counselling telephone service. No prior councelling experience is required, we ask that people have the ability to listen empathically and non judgementally and be willing to work within lifelines policies and procedures and have the time to commit as a volunteer.
