QLD Injectors Health Network - QuIHN

Queensland Injectors Health Network (QuIHN) service supports and promotes the health and well being of people who currently use illicit drugs, have used illicit drugs in the past, and members of the community touched or affected by illicit drug use. QuiHN provides a friendly, non judgmental environment that offers: * Sterile injecting equipment and disposal containers; * Referrals to housing, health and welfare services; * Information and education aimed at reducing blood-borne virus transmission and sexually transmitted infections; and * Free food, clothing, toiletries and other welfare assistance. A range of counselling and detoxification services are available, providing different strategies for people wanting to reduce or cease their drug use. Education and Training is provided to clients, professionals and the wider community in regard to illicit durg use and blood-borne virus transmission. Publications and Resources information concerning illicit drug use is provided through QuiHN's website, brochures, magazines and NSPs.
