The Breast Cancer Support Service operates through volunteers who have themselves had treatment for breast cancer previously. These volunteers have been trained to assist other women currently having treatment. The support offered includes hospital visits, advice on prosthesis and a telephone advisory service. It is a free service, and is available throughout Queensland.
