The Arthritis Friendship Group (formerly known as the Bayside Rheumatism and Arthritis Group Support Inc), is a self help support group for Arthritis sufferers and their families. A registered charitable organisation, AFG is comprised of arthritis sufferers, their families, rheumatologists, doctors, community health workers, community service group leaders and friends. The aim of the group is to provide social and recreational activities for arthritis sufferers. The group have therapy sessions in the heated pool at the LOTA Police Citizens Youth Club. AFG is now working with the medical program Building Bridges. Medical students attend the therapy pool.
