Community Forensic Mental Health Service

Community Forensic Mental Health Service has responsibility for the provision of services across the southern and central area health services of Queensland Health. The director and manager of the Community Forensic Mental Health Service (southern & central zones), both work across the forensic community services situated in the Royal Brisbane Hospital (RBH) District and the High Secure Inpatient Service, located within The Park Centre for Mental Health in the West Moreton District. An executive committee made up of senior staff from both services meet monthly to manage the integrated service, which also includes the Prison Mental Health Service and the Court Liaison Service. All Clinical Staff within the integrated service are members of a geographically allocated, multidisciplinary clinical team. The teams work across inpatient, prison and community settings. These teams deal with all enquiries, referrals, admissions, discharge planning and community outreach related to their allocated districts. There are presently five main programs within the integrated service: * The High Security Inpatient Service; * The Court Liaison Service (Mental Health); * The Prison Mental Health Service; * The Forensic Outreach Service; and * Forensic Consultant On-Call Service.
