About Us

Tennis Seniors ACT is the body that represents senior tennis players in the ACT. It is dedicated to encouraging and facilitating the opportunity for men and women 35 and over to play meet and play tennis with other seniors and enjoy the social contact that tennis always brings.

Tennis is a game that can be played for many years and there are a number of active senior players in their 80s and even 90s. With today’s hectic lifestyle and the need to be concerned about personal health and fitness seniors tennis offers a unique chance to engage in healthy and safe physical activity and meet others with similar concerns and interests.

Tennis Seniors ACT was founded in 1970 and was one of the first formal seniors tennis groups in Australia. ACT seniors played a major part in building seniors tennis Australia wide and internationally over the past 40 years.

Tennis Seniors ACT is affiliated with Tennis ACT and coordinates the seniors tennis activities under the overall banner of tennis in Canberra and surrounding regions.
