Veteran Care (DVA)

DUO provides support to the ACT veteran community through the Department of Veterans Affairs Home Care (VHC) Program.

The VHC Program assists veterans and war widows/widowers who wish to continue living at home, but who need a small amount of practical help.

VHC customers receive:

• Home and Garden Maintenance
• Domestic Assistance
• Personal Care
• In Home Respite
• Emergency short-term respite
• Social Support

Our work with the veterans’ community focuses on healthy choice and ageing, reconnection with their community and services which address social isolation and mental health issues.
