The Wellways Life in Community (LinC) program is a social connection, inclusion and engagement program to support people with mental health challenges, or their close family members, find a place of their own design within their local community. Our volunteers support individuals who experience social isolation and a lack of connection to their community, to begin to engage and connect with their community in ways that are meaningful to them, as we realise the importance of this on recovery and wellbeing.
The LinC Workshops, including art and smartphone photography, are an extension of the LinC program and are open to everyone in the community, providing a safe and creative space for LinC participants and the wider community to come together and learn and create alongside our skilled volunteers. The LinC Workshops are inclusive programs designed to promote good mental health in the community and create communities that are more accessible, inclusive and supportive for people living with mental health issues and disabilities. The workshops are open to everyone, regardless of skill level – from beginner through to those with more experience.
The LinC Art Workshops run every Thursday from 11am - 1pm and 1pm -3pm.
The LinC Smartphone Photography Workshop runs every Saturday from 2pm - 4pm.
