About Us
Free legal advice & assistance is available for all residents of the ACT, particularly those who are socially or economically disadvantaged. Free legal advice is available over the phone or in person.
Legal Aid ACT provides advice and referrals on a wide range of legal issues in civil, criminal, and family law. Legal representation is also available (means & merits tested).
A family law duty solicitor is in the Family Court weekdays 10 – 3 for assistance with family law matters and there is a DV Unit weekdays in the Magistrates Court for assistance with family violence issues.
