About Us
Provides information, advice, referral, intake, assessment and support to assist consumers to manage and/or overcome drug and alcohol problems. We provide services for individuals, their family and friends, as well as information to general practitioners, other health professionals, and business and community groups. The Canberra Hospital Alcohol & Drug services are located at Building 7, and this service can assist with information on alcohol and other drug associated issues; advice on assisting and managing people who may have alcohol and other drug issues; and support to people affected directly or indirectly by alcohol and drug use. Services include the Opioid (Methadone) Treatment Service (see below), Withdrawal Services, and Consultation Liaison Services
Opiod Treatment Service Alcohol and Drug Program
Outpatient clinic dispensing methadone and buprenorphine. Arrangement of interstate transfers and support counselling available. Client must be assessed by a specialist medical officer prior to treatment commencing. By appointment only.
Open: Mon-Fri 7:15am-12:30pm and 2pm-3pm; Sat-Sun and public holidays 7:15am-9:30am and 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm
