About Us

Our cancer services comprise several highly skilled teams, including Medical and Radiation Oncology, Haematology, Immunology, Surgery, Bone Marrow Transplant, Psychosocial and Palliative Care to provide comprehensive services to patients and their carers with cancer and related illnesses.

We are committed to reducing the burden of care in the ACT and surrounding region through high quality treatment, research and education.

The Canberra Region Cancer Centre is a world class healthcare facility that brings together cancer treatment and related services in one purpose built facility. It is a project of the Health Infrastructure Program.

The care and support of our patients is central to everything we do at the Canberra Region Cancer Centre.

The Canberra Region Cancer Centre facilitates improved cancer treatment and other related services in the ACT and surrounding region by drawing together and integrating services, research and teaching programs within a single, five-storey building, which adjoins the existing Radiation Oncology building.

The Centre is designed to meet the needs of Canberra and the Southern New South Wales communities well into the future. Services operating within the Centre take a multi-disciplinary team approach to health treatment and support, which means that:

  • Care is patient-centred and teams work together across services to support patients, carers and families.
  • Service provision is efficient and flexible.
  • Care is accessible and provided in a culturally safe environment
  • Services are safe and of a high quality
  • The provision of care is integrated and collaborative.
