Aged support services can be accessed by individuals over the age of 65 (or over age 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people), who reside in the ACT and may not be accessing an aged care package.

Assistance is available for twelve weeks during recovery. Support may be able to continue beyond 12 weeks in exceptional circumstances.

Support services on offer include domestic assistance (help with housework), personal care (help with showering and dressing etc.), social supports (help to get out and about), garden maintenance (minor repairs), social groups to meet new people and get connected, medical transport, in home respite (giving carers a break) and care coordination.
