About Us
This program is designed for parents with teenagers exhibiting difficult and violent behaviour in the home.
Parenting teenagers can be a challenging experience for all involved. We believe that evidence-based, effective communication strategies can assist in maintaining a holistic family environment. Our parenting programs focus on assisting parents who are having difficulties parenting their teenagers. The programs provide practical support to equip parents with communication skills and connect them to a supportive community of parents in similar situations.
These programs enable participants to learn new parenting techniques and gain more confidence in their parenting skills in an inclusive environment.
The 'Understanding Teens' program is funded by ACT Policing.
For your convenience, programs run each term in the Northside of Canberra at the Melba Copland College Board Room, Senior Campus, Admin Block, Verbrugghen St, Melba and the Southside of Canberra at the PCYC Erindale Centre, Grattan Court, Wanniassa.
