About Us

If you have experienced domestic family violence and the person using violence has been charged, under ACT legislation you are entitled to updates on how the matter is progressing, and to certain information relevant to your safety. As a member of the ACT Family Violence Intervention Program, DVCS can offer Case Tracking for criminal domestic family violence charges going through court.

Case tracking is managed by the Criminal Justice Worker at DVCS whose role it is to ensure clients are informed and supported throughout the criminal court process. The Criminal Justice Worker can support you by; providing updates each time the matter is in court or the defendant applies for bail, discussing safety and options as relevant to each stage of the process, as well as sharing your concerns with other relevant agencies.

Please contact us should you wish to discuss your options further. You can contact us anonymously. We do not make any sound recordings of our conversations, but we do record that we spoke to you. This record can be made anonymously. If you are unsure, please speak to our crisis workers at the commencement of the call.
