Toora offers support services for women in Canberra affected by domestic violence, homelessness, institutions and substance dependency to create better life outcomes and community change.
We provide:
- Crisis and short-term accommodation
- Case management
- Counselling
- Referrals to other services
- Treatment for alcohol and drug dependency
- Outreach support
- Case management and support for women exiting the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC)

Toora is a not-for-profit organisation which has been delivering gender specific services to women in the ACT and surrounds since 1982. Toora's purpose is to support, connect and advocate for Canberra women who are impacted by domestic violence, homelessness, institutions and substance dependency to create better life outcomes and community change.
