Be surprised at what you'll find in Blacktown City! You'll find several beautiful nature reserves and parks including Nurragingy Reserve (home of the Chang Lai Yuan Chinese Gardens), Blacktown Showground and Prospect Reservoir, with open spaces, water splash/play parks, cycling paths, picnic and barbecue facilities. There is no beach but you will still find water, waves and sand - at Raging Waters Sydney in Prospect and the Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope both have wild wave pools for you to enjoy. Raging Waters has over 40 slides to experience. For history/heritage and cultural buffs, there are many properties you can visit including Saint Bartholomew's Church and cemetery and Rouse Hill Estate, an extraordinary historic property dating back to circa 1813. Blacktown is a sporting city, home to the Western Sydney Wanderers and the Sydney Bluesox at Blacktown International Sportspark. The Sydney Motorsport Park, Sydney Dragway and Eastern Creek Speedway are all in Eastern Creek and joined by the Sydney Premier Karting Raceway just down the road. Blacktown City is located in the centre of Greater Sydney and half way between Sydney central business district and the Blue Mountains.
