Specialist Homelessness Services

About Us

The Kempsey Women’s Refuge provides crisis accommodation and outreach to women and their children. The refuge is staffed only by women to provide support for women and their children who have experienced, or are experiencing, domestic violence.

Samaritans has operated the Kempsey Women’s Refuge since late 2014 when changes were made in the delivery of domestic violence and homeless services under the State Government’s Going Home Staying Home reforms.

In addition, a separate service, the Community Hub, has been created that offers help to women and children facing homelessness.

Quick Facts About The Region
