About Us

The Manning Suicide Prevention Network (MSPN) was established in June 2019 in response to the growing awareness of the impact of mental health and wellbeing, in particular suicide, on people’s lives throughout our community.

Over 20 community members and service providers came together to form the MSPN with the aim to reduce the impact of suicide to all individuals residing in the Manning Valley.

We work closely with health care, service providers and agencies, as well as individuals and groups, to help build a stronger culture and more resilient community to reduce the incidence of suicide.

We aim to:

· build awareness of the incidence of suicide in our community

· educate the community on how they can help within their own family and friendship groups

· improve services and increase ease of access to services

· assist those with loved ones at risk of suicide

· help those that are bereaved

· organise local events to participate in

Manning Suicide Prevention Network provides information, education and opportunity to raise community awareness and reduce stigma.
