About Us

  • The Friends Of Kooloonbung Creek Nature Park are a group of volunteers who look after the Park of approximately 55 hectares and have been doing so for over 30 years. 
  • Weeding non-native plants, blowing pathways clear of leaves, brush-cutting grasses and sedges encroaching on boardwalk, removing grafitti, rubbish collection, removing fallen branches and trees off pathways, planting native trees, shrubs, grasses, and sedges where needed and to revegetate damaged areas.
  • Monday is the main volunteer day, meeting at different locations within the park by prior arrangement and starting at 8.15am,(morning-tea at 10.00am) finishing at 12.00 noon. Also A small group volunteers Tuesday and Saturday.
  • Volunteers are like-minded persons that like to help the unique environment of Port Macquarie.
