TeleCHAT

TeleCHAT provides a social telephone call to people living in the community to provide support, friendship and community connection. Clients are matched with a volunteer who will phone them at an agreed time and day, usually once a week or fortnight.

Sometimes it can be difficult for people to get out to social activities and living alone means they might not always have someone to chat to. TeleCHAT provides a connection to the community. Participants are matched with volunteers based on their interests, hobbies and availability. Participants say they appreciate having someone who is interested in them and is looking forward to catching up every week.
