Nana Muru provides detox, day rehab and relapse prevention support services for adults in the Shoalhaven region.

Supported detox

Start your recovery by completing a withdrawal support program in your local community. Nana Muru works with GPs in the Shoalhaven region to provide withdrawal support for 5-10 days.  We will complete an initial, comprehensive assessment with you. We will then work with you and your local GP to determine the most suitable withdrawal program. Depending on your location, you will be monitored each weekday during your withdrawal program by your GP or our nurse. We can also provide support and advice about how to manage withdrawal over a weekend.

After completing the withdrawal program, you can continue your recovery through a free day rehab program as well as relapse prevention groups, which are offered across the Shoalhaven.

Day rehab

Our Nana Muru service provides a free group day rehab program for people aged 18 and over. The program includes individual counselling/case management sessions for assessment as well as treatment and relapse prevention planning. The program will give you practical tools and strategies and also covers health, nutrition and life skills. After completing the program, follow-up support is available in your local region to help you stay on track.

Our day rehab program is a mobile service. It will run on set dates at a variety of locations including our Nowra service hub at 78 Bridge Rd, in the Bay/Basin region and on-line. Give us a call to find out where your nearest group is.

Outreach - counselling and groups

We offer a free mobile drug and alcohol treatment service which includes individual counselling and case management, and group therapy in your local region. If you’ve completed a rehab program, these groups can help you stay connected to ensure ongoing recovery. Our team can also help you connect with other support services.
