Bidgee Blues & Roots Club

Bidgee Blues Club Inc. is a non profit organisation which, since its inception in 2006 has hosted a number of activities in an endeavour to promote and provide quality blues music. Currently the club are holding monthly Open Mic Afternoons attracting a wide range of people of varying ages and levels of musicianship. The Open Mic’s are providing a platform for budding young musicians to learn from experienced players with the added benefit of performing before an audience. The Bidgee Blues ‘2AAA Keeping the Blues Alive’ community radio segment is aired each Monday night from 8pm -10pm. The program is fully operated by Club members. International Blues Music Day’ is held on the 1st Saturday in August each year. This one day annual event as a ‘mini festival’, incorporating a mix of local, regional and National acts.
