General Crisis and Emergency Services
Emergency Relief is provided to Individuals and Families in genuine need. It assists people to deal with their immediate crisis situation by providing financial or material aid such as food parcels, clothes or vouchers (e.g. supermarkets, utilities or petrol).
Emergency relief includes:
- Assisting people to deal with their immediate crisis situation
- Delivering services in a way that maintains the dignity of the individual and families
- Referring people to relevant services, to help them pay bills or reduce the risk of being unable to pay their bills; and
- Encourage greater self-reliance.
