About Us

Eastern Murrumbidgee Youth Services is a youth crisis accommodation and outreach support service provided by Mission Australia. This includes a youth refuge, for young people 16 and 17 yrs of age and outreach support for young people aged 15 - 24 yrs . The refuge provides short to medium term housing to young people who are homeless or couch surfing, combined with intensive case management regarding a range of issues such as education and employment. This is done with the aim to achieve a return to home, other suitable stable accommodation or independent living. Outreach support is provided to young people experiencing issues in their current living situation and are in need of assistance sourcing alternate accommodation, such as private rental and aid with factors experienced when living out of home, such as financial counseling, household budgeting and Centrelink support.
