About Us

The Child Health Service aims to promote and enhance the optimal health of children, young people and families in Queensland through the promotion of positive health practices and family support. The service aims to assist parents and carers by working in partnership with them in the prevention and early detection of health problems. The Child Health Service is staffed by a Child Health Nurse who is qualified to provide a wide range of health services for parents of children aged from birth to 18 years. These services include health information and resources, child health screening, breastfeeding support, child growth and development, immunisation information, Positive Parenting Programs, antenatal information.
