About Us

The Women’s Health and Equality Queensland Women’s Centre is a safe space at Stones Corner that sits on land that has long been home to the Yuggera and Turrbul peoples.
Our centre is open to a diversity of women and our services are free. Call us to book an appointment with one of our counsellors, or book a class online.

Based on feedback from our participants, we identified a need for access to a free, trauma-informed GP.  Prompted by this data, Women’s Health and Equality Queensland (WHEQ) are proud to say that we have now employed a GP to work with us once a fortnight to provide healthcare to both our participants and anyone who may need it. You do not need to be currently engaged with WHEQ to access this service.

 Services include:

  • 1800 017 676 (toll free outside Brisbane)
  • Health information and free lending library via https://wheq.org.au/
  • Health education for the community and health professionals.
