About Us

Queenslanders with Disability Network is an organisation of, for, and with people with disability. Our motto is “nothing about us without us.” QDN operates a state-wide knowledge network of over 800 members who are 100% people with disability, and over 500 supporters. The Knowledge Network provides information, feedback and views from the perspective of a person with disability, to inform system level policy feedback to Government and peak bodies. QDN also provides information and referral support to people with disability. All of QDN’s voting members are people with disability. The Network includes QDN’s leaders who actively convene groups, link locally with others with disability, provide big picture policy leadership in their communities across Queensland and provide peer support and information to help others gain information, build capacity and build inclusive communities. QDN supports members, building their capacity to proactively engage with individuals, services and systems to improve the social and economic participation of people with disability locally or at a system level.
