About Us

What do we do?

The Community Linking Program was established in 2001 to support people with a disability to access their local community and share space with others. SANDBAG’s CLP is committed to assisting people with a disability to take an active role in their local community. People are supported to attend a range of local activities and events and through this community involvement connections and relationships are formed.

Our goal is to make relationships that last for people with disabilities. We do this by working with each person individually and listening to families and carers in order to get the best possible outcomes for all involved.

What do we offer?

We provide people with a flexible Community Access service, based on each person’s individual interest and needs and provide families and carers with respite by supporting the person they care for. Support is provided on a 1:1 basis.

Who do we provide a service to?

SANDBAG’s Community Linking Program provides support to people with a disability who reside in the north eastern suburbs of Brisbane.

Service is subject to funding or alternatively on a fee-for-service basis, which is currently $48 per hour. Individual’s that apply will be offered assistance to complete necessary documentation and provided with information and support to access a person of their choice or an independent advocate.
