About Us

Australian Red Cross Queensland Division offers a wide range of community services. Refugee assistance and community education on International Humanitarian Law are provided. Playscheme is a range of play activities organised for hospitalised children. Cosmetic Care is available to enhance self esteem for patients hospitalised for a long term. Telecross is a volunteer service providing a regular telephone link of reassurance to people living alone who are in poor health or experiencing loneliness. The Red Cross manages a Community Visitors Scheme for volunteers to visit elderly people in residential care in various areas throughout Queensland e.g. Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Rockhampton, Townsville and Tully. Contact the organisation for current details. Other services include medical equipment hire, accommodation services, youth services, disability services, an employment agency and first aid courses. The Queensland Division office can provide contact details for all Australian Red Cross services throughout Queensland.
