As Principal of Pullenvale State School I could not be prouder of the achievements of our school over the last few years. Ongoing performances in National Testing show results well above National mean, and we continue to strive in our efforts to exceed the performances of similar and/or like schools both within Queensland and across the Nation. More specifically, in 2014 Pullenvale State School achieved Mean Scale Score results ‘Statistically Above the Nation’ in 14 out of a possible 15 areas of NAPLAN testing. Pullenvale is fortunate to be served by committed and professional educators who work hard to ensure all children are challenged daily in a safe and supportive environment. Our school focuses on a model of explicit instruction to educate our children in the key areas of literacy and numeracy. In 2015 Pullenvale State School was granted Independent Public School status and is working hard with key parent groups; the School Planning Group and Parents & Citizens Association, to guide Pullenvale along a path of continual improvement.
