About Us

Our mental health and wellbeing services provide a well-planned stepped care service that may use any of the programs below. It is an evidenced and culture-based service, using a rigorous intake and triage system. This means that after we assess your needs, we match the right level of service and support to your unique needs.

  • Problem Management + (PM+): A structured therapeutic intervention for adults from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who are experiencing mood or anxiety disorders, stress and a range of psychological stressors, particularly in situations of adversity.
  • Multicultural Psychological Therapies:The Multicultural Psychological Therapies program is delivered to people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds in Brisbane North and South regions. It is supported with funding from the Brisbane North and Brisbane South Primary Health Networks. The focus of this program is to offer culturally safe and tailored structured psychological interventions for people with mild to moderate mental illness.
  • Culture In Mind: Culture in Mind provides community-based psycho-social support to improve social, emotional and mental wellbeing.
  • Better Access Program
  • Psychological Therapies for International Students
  • Psychiatry

Multicultural Connect Line 1300 079 020: This is a Queensland-wide (part of our Culture in Mind program) service for people form multicultural backgrounds, whose lives have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. As well as referring the people you work with to our line, you can also ring us to find out more about the support we can provide to your clients. We provide support and information to find and link to aid, assistance and mental health services. We provide triage, information and emotional support over the phone. If we talk to people with complex health and/or psycho-social needs we will ensure we facilitate a warm referral into more ongoing care. We work with interpreters, and our helpline staff themselves are multilingual; so sometimes an interpreter may not even be required. We are here to ensure no one in the multicultural community gets left behind and everyone receives the support they need, particularly:

  • Older migrants
  • People seeking asylum
  • International students
  • Those with health conditions
  • Migrant workers on working visas & others on non-residency visas
  • Those experiencing racism & discrimination
  • Those feeling anxious or worried about their circumstances
