About Us
Open Doors Youth Service provides support to young people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex + (LGBTI+) those who have a diverse gender, sex and/or sexuality and those who are exploring their sexuality and/or gender identity.
LGBTI+ young people can often feel different, isolated, alone and confused to everyone else and may experience difficulties at home with their parents or at school.
Open Doors Youth Service is a safe place where LGBTI+ young people can simply come and be themselves in a positive and affirmative environment and seek the support that they need and gain access to a wide range of information about sexuality and gender identity.
We provide a range of support and services including:
Referral and support to young people aged 12-24 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with early intervention and support.
Social groups including one for under 18 LGBTI+ young people, an 18-24 social group for LGBTI+ young people, Art Group, Jellybeans for transgender and gender diverse young people aged 12-24 years old.
Alcohol and Drug program, Suicide Intervention Trial, Drama Therapy, Life Skills Workshops and much more. For more information head to our website www.opendoors.net.au
