About Us

Special Olympics Bundaberg is the local branch of an International Organisation for Intellectually Impaired people to enable them to participate in sport & activities. Bundaberg branch offers athletics, basketball, golf, gymnastics, swimming, table tennis, Soccer Football and ten pin bowling at present for athletes aged 8 to adult. Registration fees are reasonable and uniform shirts are highly subsidised and cover all sports. Training is of a high standard in all sports and Regional, State, National and International competitions are offered as an option. The group is currently based at the YMCA and PCYC venues and is grateful for volunteer help. This is a very rewarding activity and is supported by the Law Enforcement group at Bundaberg Police and by our Patron, Councillor Lynne Forgan.
