About Us

Your time can change lives.

Are you ready to share you skills, talents and knowledge alongside our team of dedicated staff across Southern Queensland? Our volunteers come from all walks of life – tertiary students, retirees, job seekers and professionals.  They are aged between 16 and 85 years and make the decision to volunteer for a number of different reasons. ?They come to us to develop skills, gain experience, realise a passion, make a contribution, gain a sense of belonging and meaning or do something worthwhile in the community.

For most of our opportunities little or no previous experience is required. We have roles in a wide range of areas across our business. We understand that everyone is different and everyone brings something different to the table. That’s why we have a diverse range of volunteers opportunities to allow you to use your variety of skills and passions.

Let’s do something good together.

Working with us as a volunteer will give you an immense sense of satisfaction. You will get to see your efforts directly contribute to the wellbeing and happiness of your community. There are also other benefits to working along side us. A number of our volunteers have gained paid employment in other fields as a direct result of the experience they have gained from working with Anglicare Southern Queensland.

While working with Anglicare Southern Queensland in a volunteer capacity you are covered by insurance in the event that you sustain an injury. Anglicare Southern Queensland ensures all volunteers are provided with training specific to the role they will undertake. You are also able to claim for any approved out-of-pocket expenses incurred by you (this does not include travel to and from the place of your work.)
