About Us

MICAH provides and excellent service to the aged, frail and disabled.  MICAH is based on a strong Christian foundation and our objective is to provide superior services to all our clients irrespective of their religion, sex, race and nationality.

MICAH provides professional and compassionate day respite to assist carers and their families.  MICAH gives individuals an opportunity to ratain a standard of independance in a safe, supportive and friendly environment.

Our intention is to keep people from prematurely entering a nursing home facility.  This we believe will help:

    1.  Retain an individual's independence, dignity, physical abilities and self-worth.
    2.  Reduce the pressure on nursing home facilities.
3,  Reduce the pressure on the families providing care.
MICAH staff are trained in aged care (Cert lll Aged Care) and disability (Cert lV Disability) and have years of experience.  MICAH staff genuinely care for the aged, frail and people with a disability.
Our aim is to help and encourage people to maintain their independence.
This facility is where independence is promoted but assistance is provided.  It is a safe place where people are assisted in doing everyday taskes for themselves.
We assist our clients in the activities of daily living; showering, dressing, medication management, assistance with feeding, toileting and continence management.  We also include a wide range of creative activities to ensure their personal interests are catered for.  For a full list of these activities please visit our website www.micahrespite.com
These types of activities are incredibly important in helping retain fine and gross motor skills as well as physical mobility and cognitive capability.  Participation in all these activities will be assessed on each individual's abilities.  Total emphasis is placed on the comfort and well being of the client.
The premises meet OHS standard.  Wheelchair access, safety rails and security give MICAH the ability to safely care for people with dementia while maintaining the home environment.
There is a large undercover living area to enjoy the great outdoors.
Reclining loung chairs give the facility users a comfortable and secure place to layback to have an afternoon nap.
We are open extended hours to cater for working families.  This assists in early morning drop off and evening pick ups.
A mobile hair dressing service is available by appointment.
