Mission Statement To provide a comprehensive and effective physiotherapy service for people of all ages and conditions. To service the people of Cairns and the outlying suburbs with a friendly, attentive and efficient service and to ease travel and provide convenient access to a physiotherapy clinic. To build our practice to include a multidisciplinary service along with other allied health members. PhysioHealth – History to Current Day Physiohealth Cairns was formed originally in 1993 as Calanna Physiotherapy Clinic located in the Calanna Medical Centre. By 2002 the Clinic had grown from just Karen and a part time receptionist to a staff of four Physiotherapists and full time administration so a move was made to the current location at 26 Toogood Road where we currently have six Physiotherapists, two Remedial Massage therapists and three administration staff. We also added a visiting Podiatrist Natalie Cristaudo. In 2010 we opened a smaller Clinic in Edmonton to provide a comprehensive multi-disciplinary two practice service to the southern corridor of Cairns. In February 2016 Shannon Nielsen became the Principal Practioner of the Edmonton Clinic and although it is run as a separate entity we maintain a good working relationship to ensure ongoing care of our Clients. Our Physiotherapists are continually attending courses, upgrading skills and participating in regular in-services. After over 20years we pride ourselves on being a knowledgeable efficiency based and multi-skilled Physiotherapy workforce within our multidisciplinary practice.
