Mental Health Services
Our assessment and therapeutic services meet your child at their developmental level. We work closely with you and any family members and/or caregivers to develop therapy plans and approaches that will strengthen the connection with you, your family and your child, and improve your child’s overall mental health and wellbeing. Some of the reasons why young people and their families come to see us include: Difficulty managing anxiety and/or anger Challenging and/or risk-taking behaviours Friendship issues and bullying Depression and other mood disorders Family breakdown and conflict Grief and loss Learning difficulties Exam and study stress School challenges Self-harm thoughts or actions Self-esteem issues. Supporting the family is integral to the treatment process. Our Clinical Psychologists can assist you and your family with everyday problems associated with stress, relationship troubles, illness, parenting, fears, phobias, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, sleeping difficulties, learning difficulties, and much more. Through discussions with you and your son or daughter, an assessment will be made, and a plan to help your child to move forward, explained and agreed upon. Children are very receptive to learning new ways they can better manage and overcome fears, challenges or difficulties; we find our approach to children and families have empowered hundreds of children to move forward, and enjoy life, as all children should.
