Migrant Settlement/Burnett Program - Wide Bay

The Migrant Settlement Program services the Wide Bay/Burnett region of South-East Queensland. The program services include: Providing information on Health, Employment, Legal, Housing, Education and Immigration services, and referrals to other regional services. Providing settlement support to migrants. Assisting people to learn English, and any other skills that they may require, to settle in the region. Linking individuals to ethnic and cultural groups within the region. Assistance to families of skilled migrants. VIA (Volunteer Interpreter Assistance) Register, people with bilingual skills for informal interpreting and translating. Networking with other agencies & services to address issues relating to migrant settlement.
