About Us

The Creating Options program in Biloela aims assists people who are experiencing difficulties due to their alcohol or other drug use. Creating Options offers clients comprehensive alcohol and other drug support including counselling and care coordination with other health services.
Assessment is conducted in a caring, empathetic, confidential and non-judgemental manner.


Counselling support is provided to clients while they decide what options are best for them. Practical options are discussed with clients to help manage their situation and there is ongoing support for the individual and/or their families. The Creating Options program is delivered using a recovery framework and bio-psychosocial harm minimisation approach to create sustainable change.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Are currently experiencing difficulties due to their own or a loved one’s alcohol or drug use
  • Of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent

 

Length of Treatment
Treatment can be delivered face to face, online or over the phone.
Clients are able to engage in a new treatment episode directly following the close of a treatment episode.


Referral
All assessment and intake is conducted through the Central Intake Service. Clients need to self-refer by calling the Central Intake Service. Call 07 3620 8880
