About Us
Parenting Orders Program works specifically with parents who are experiencing difficulty making their Court Orders and parenting arrangements work effectively for their children.
The program aims to support and strengthen safe and respectful relationships between parents and children following separation and divorce. The aim is to help to reduce the level of pain and distress children may experience from any ongoing conflict between parents after separation.
Our staff assist parents to express their needs and concerns, whilst aiming to address differences and encourage parents to develop better communication in their relationship through focusing on their children. Children will have the opportunity to talk with an independent child specialist who will inform parents of their needs and concerns.
The court may encourage or order parents to attend the program.
Discussions in the Parenting Orders Program are confidential except in certain circumstances where there is a safety concern.

With a workforce of more than 3000, including our invaluable volunteers, and operating from more than 200 locations, we provide help and create hope for more than 150 000 people each year. With funding from both the Federal and Queensland governments, we are able to provide quality services to those in need of a range of services including childcare, support services for the aged and people with a disability as well as relationship education, counselling and support. We are grateful to our army of volunteers and donors who enable our non-government funded work in prisons, hospitals, psychiatric pastoral care and Indigenous communities. At Centacare, we want you to feel welcome, supported and treated with respect each and every time you access one of our services. We strive to deliver professional and accountable services whilst empowering our clients to find solutions and achieve their goals.
