About Us
MINDFULNESS MEDITATION at THE CURRUMBIN ECOVILLAGE ON THE GOLD COAST
Come join us at our Weekly Drop-In Mindfulness Meditation Group run by Trained Clinical Psychologists starting November 3rd!
The cost is $10 and the session includes a 30 minute guided mindfulness meditation plus a 30 minute presentation and 15 minute Q&A covering a range of topics including:
- Stress Management
- Mindful Parenting
- Coping with Anxiety
- The Meaning of Equanimity
- Developing “Mind Qualities” Such as Creativity, Intuition & Self-Esteem
- Dealing with Chronic Pain
- Emotional Regulation
- Increasing Feelings of Peace, Happiness & Contentment
- Coping with Depression

About the principle Facilitators -
John Barter is a registered Psychologist, Counsellor and Supervisor. John, brings over thirty year of continuous practice of Mindfulness Meditation. For over ten of these years John was a Buddhist Monk of the Theravada Forest Tradition. In his approach John brings the wisdom insights and practices of Traditional Buddhism together with the understandings of contemporary evidence based Medical Science, especially 'Mind-Body Medicine', and Psychology.
Judy Robinson is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist, and Certified Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Facilitator. Judy, has been registered as a Psychologist since 1989, and is the co-founding director and managing Director of the Lakeside Rooms. Judy is the author and facilitator of Lakeside Beyond Baby Blues group program to support families in the challenges of transitioning in the perinatal period, and runs Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Groups regularly.

When - 6:30pm to 7:45pm, Every Monday Night, Starting November 3, 2014
Where – The Old Dairy Community Hall @ The Currumbin Ecovillage.
Cost - $10 (Cash only, on the night)
What to bring – If you prefer sitting on the floor, a pillow or rolled up towel.
How to get there -
The Ecovillage entrance is at the corner of Village Way and 639 Currumbin Creek Road in Currumbin Valley. The group will be held at The Community Hall in The Old Dairy which is on Community Way. Once on Village Way take a right on Coolamon View and then an immediate right on to Community Way.
