About Us

Forrest Beach State School was established in 1980 to provide quality schooling for the growing families of the beach-side community of Allingham.

Our school motto is ‘Achievement through Effort’ and our shared vision is of a school that enables each student to achieve their potential within a learning environment that is safe, positive, respectful, inclusive and welcoming. Our school is committed to encouraging the best in its students, staff and community. We aim to nurture knowledge, sport, creativity and life skills.

We believe that every lesson counts for every child every day, that everyone can learn and that a healthy balance in learning is essential. Therefore we provide access to and support participation in relevant, quality and inclusive programs that empower both students and staff to achieve excellence.

There are 52 students enrolled in our Prep to Year 6 classes that are supported by five teachers (full-time equivalent) and three teacher aides with specialist teachers in Music, Italian, Science and PE.
