Karinya is a Mental Health Respite Health Program for carers. By carer we mean a person who provides ongoing emotional support to a relative or friend who is living with a mental illness. We assist carers by providing support to the person with the mental illness while the carer has a break - facilitating a rejuvenation time for everyone. The community house offers a warm and peaceful environment with 4 bedrooms, a verandah and two entertainment rooms. Guests are free to enjoy swimming pool, table tennis, pool table, movies and more. Karinya support staff aim to provide a relaxing environment, designed to help individuals unwind and enjoy themselves. Our service encourages both individual well being and the building of positive family relationships.
