About Us
Established in 1996, SeniorNet is an Incorporated Association based in Ipswich and is managed entirely by Volunteers. We offer training in all matters digital in a friendly and safe environment as well has organise social events.
Training topics cover computers, laptops, tablets and phones. Levels range from introductory to advanced according to Members’ needs. Topics include Introduction to Computers, Basic Computer Skills, Microsoft: Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Introduction to emails, Managing Folders and Files, Apps for Phones and Tablets, Explore Facebook, Photos on Phones, Tablets and Computers. Enhance photos with Apps, Paint.net, Snapseed, One line research, Producing gift and anniversary cards. During training, all participants have access to a computer so they can immediately put their learning into practice.
Family History: workshops are held each month to assist with research into family history, recording the findings and producing completed family history books and PowerPoint presentations.
Training venue: all training is conducted at 29 Pelican St., North Ipswich.
- Parking is free and easily accessible to training room.
- Workshops are usually held on a weekday morning from 9am – 11am.
- Workshop fees are currently waived.

While Technology Training is our major focus, we recognise it is important for Seniors to meet and socialise with others who have similar interests.
Coffee & Chat are held on 1st Friday of the month, we meet over coffee to discuss our Technological Challenges. We host speakers on a wide range of topics. Starts 10:00am at Norths Leagues Club, 29 Pelican Street North Ipswich.
Social lunches are organised at venues around Ipswich. Members get together and enjoy companionship in a ‘non-technology’ setting.
