Rural Financial Counselling Service Southern Queensland delivers the Rural Financial Counselling Programme to rural producers, fishers and small rural businesses.

Our Mission

Rural Financial Counselling Services are provided that are:

• Free

• Confidential

• Impartial

• Independent of financial institutions, welfare agencies and government.

Talk to one of our Rural Financial Counsellors today for assistance with:-

• Identifying financial and business options

• Cash flow budgeting

• Financial analysis

• Facilitating meetings with lenders and financial institutions

• Referrals and information on Government assistance

• Referral to Centrelink and to professionals for succession planning, family mediation and personal counselling, and emotional and social counselling

• Preparation of an Enterprise Action Plan.

Rural financial counsellors do not provide family, emotional or social counselling, financial advice or succession planning services, but, can provide referrals and information.

The Rural Financial Counselling Service Program is funded primarily by the Federal Government through the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources and also by the Queensland Government through the Department of Agriculture.
