Karakan started in 1972 as a non profit organisation established to support people with mental health challenges and disability gain identity, connection, and independence within their communities.

We offered a range of psychosocial services including housing and accommodation services and social supports and providing people opportunity to work, learn skills and earn and participate in the community. 

Our services are designed to ensure our customers get all the help they need for the challenges affecting their mental health and well-being.
