Get Set For Work

This program is for young people who are disengaging from school or are needing help with job seeking. The initiative is to teach life skills – job skills and a work ethic. This prepares young potential school leavers for a job and a career. This program has had great success in re-engaging young people back in to education/school or in to employment. You will gain work experience, a Certificate 1 in Vocational Pathways, and some amazing friends along the way!
 
The program runs for 11 weeks, 5 days per week and is for young people aged between the ages of 15-19 years.

Ready For Work

Ready for Work is designed to help young people transition into the workforce.
The program includes:

• Resume preparation and writing
• Job interview skills
• Job search advice, including where to look for work, how to apply for work and understanding employer expectations
• Networking opportunities with local businesses and employers to share their experiences and industry knowledge
• Employability skills such as communication in the workplace, working in a team, problem solving, planning and organising

This program is run over a 2 week period. Aimed at young people aged between 15-24 years.

PCYC Learning

Skilling Queenslanders for Work focuses on developing an individual’s skills, supporting them to begin a learning pathway to a certificate III qualification, and providing direct assistance to those Queenslanders that need extra support to enter and stay in the workforce.

Certificate III Hospitality
This program runs full-time for 20 weeks. Consisting of accredited training, hands on experience and job preparation. Classes and Vocational Placement located at Beenleigh PCYC. Online study options available. Includes the RSA, RSG and coffee making units.

Certificate III Fitness
This program runs for 12 weeks. Consisting of accredited training, hands on experience and job preparation. Classes on Thursdays & Fridays. 3 Month Gym Membership to Beenleigh PCYC included.
