Office of Fair Trading - Mackay

The Office of Fair Trading provides advice to both consumers and traders regarding a range of fair trading, consumer affairs and body corporate issues. The Office also investigates unfair trading practices, administers legislation affecting consumers and traders and provides licensing and registration services for businesses and a range of occupations. A range of free booklets are available including: * How to be Consumerwise; * Real Estate Realities; * ABCs About Baby and Childrens Safety; * Good Credit Guide; * Trade Smart Guide; * Glovebox Guide to buying a car ; and * Get Out There: A Survival Guide For Young Adults. Free, No Door to Door Traders, stickers and refund policy signs are also available.
