About Us

Education Queensland's Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs and services are targeted at young children from birth to five years with suspected or diagnosed disabilities disabilities in the areas of: autism
spectrum disorder, hearing impairment, intellectual impairment, physical impairment, speech-language
impairment and vision impairment and who have significant educational support needs.
Tuesday morning sessions with parents/family members; 9:00—11:00 at Junior Campus and/or
• specialist outreach support to the home by members of a multidisciplinary team
Children aged 4 to 5 years may access from term 1 2016:
• Monday morning sessions 9:00-11:00 at Roma Junior School and/or
• Specialist outreach support, by members of a multidisciplinary team, to the other educational setting
attended by the child (e.g. day care or kindy); and/or the home.
During this phase, transition to Prep becomes a significant focus for the early childhood development
program and/or service.
Multidisciplinary team members may include specialist teachers, therapists and support personnel,
working collaboratively with members from other agencies.
